About James Kasagga - A detailed story
My Childhood
Growing up at Kitante in Kampala the Capital of Uganda, my perspective was shaped not just by my experiences but also by my biological parents, staunch Catholics, baganda traditionalists and educationists, my father being headmaster of several primary schools in the City. As a first born it gave me a certain view of life and happenings around the family, often accompanying my father to places including cultural idolatrous ceremonies i vividly remember. Our family lived in Kitante flats from where we walked to the nearby Kitante Primary School every day, a journey marked by routine rather than exception. Only when I was moved to another school due to poor performance resulting from chronic headaches was i often driven to school, apparently every morning by my father who was appointed the new headmaster of that school. Two particular incidents stand out: one on a day i was riding to school with my father on his motorcycle, when the brakes failed and we ended up crashing into the road side bushes. Another is when students were being cained for poor performance at the school gate and my father insisted i receive my share of the canes before proceeding to class, something I don't know how I recovered from.
Life in Those Days
Life in Kampala during my primary school days was a curious mix of normalcy with undercurrents of political unrest. While stories of nighttime shootings and robberies circulated, many of us were blissfully unaware, untouched by the turmoil except for the shocking daylight shooting at Kisementi, now Acacia Mall, where the scenes of blood all over the place were a remainder that Kitante flats was a bustling happy kids island surrounded with grim realities of ordinarily business people occasionally arrested on security grounds. We however had several of our own neighbors who were figures of fear, being of the tribe or ethnic group that was running the country at that time, who often were visited by high ranking military personnel, i often heard my parents talking in wisppers. Despite dark political times, and listening to the evening news on BBC radio, something my father introduced me to, life continued: we attended school, the children of Kitante flats thrived.
Jesus Christ
The turning point in my life was when world renown Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke conducted a Crusade at Kololo Indepence Grounds attended by so many people, *i was born again*. Soon after that i was filled with the Holy Spirit at a small Church on Mulago hill not far from my fathers house. This encounter with the Holy Spirit remains the game - changer in my life and ministry. The character of my ministry was also greatly influenced by Morris Cerullo School of ministry, by the teachings and testimony of Dr. TL and Daisy Osborn, and a Word Of Faith Bible Institute I attended at Makerere in Kampala. The Apostolic and Prophetic Grace on my life, evidenced by notable manifestation of spiritual gifts, has taken me to several countries within and beyond Africa. I have been on several local radios and Television in East Africa, teaching believers how to operate the gifs of the Holy Spirit according to (1Cor' 12:7-10). I am a prayer revivalist carring a restoration mandate to the body of Christ around the world. I am also author of THE HOLY SPIRIT - Your Co-MiracleWorker. I am married to Christine Agwang, a fellow minister of the gospel, a soul winner, greatly used in the Prayer, Prophetic and healing Grace, we have many children under our care. I am recently ordained, presiding Apostle and Bishop of a ministry to which growing number of independent Churches in our rural - urban areas are affiliating. Outside ministry I also travel as a company representative for www.godsongroup.com. Our office, weekly prayer camp, and evangelism training is based at Kimaka Industrial Area - Jinja City, East of Kampala the Capital City of Uganda East of Kampala City.
